Limerick is developing novel small molecule product candidates based on molecular scaffolds with known pharmacological properties. We apply our expertise in medicinal chemistry to strategically and selectively optimize pharmaceutical attributes to create proprietary compounds for desired, valuable outcomes.

Limerick’s original program was focused in the CNS area and the lead molecules were shown to activate transport of toxic substances out of tissues. Via medicinal chemistry efforts, these molecules have evolved to include new chemical entities that confer their activity by entirely novel mechanisms.

Limerick’s technology has diverse applications. Our technology can be used as monotherapy (as in our metabolic disease program) or as adjunctive therapy to existing or development stage products to improve their side effect profile (as in our organ transplant program).

Limerick has built a strong patent portfolio in the US and outside the US covering wide range of subject matter including compound composition, pharmaceutical composition, method, formulation, new chemical entities. The company is continuously updating its patent portfolio.
