Limerick Activators have the capability to decrease drug and unwanted endogenous substance exposure to non-targeted organs and tissues. Therefore, drugs, both marketed and investigational, as well as endogenous substances which can cause organ toxicities, and are ligands for ABC Transporters, can potentially benefit from Limerick Activator use.
Our most advanced Activators are:
- being developed in the clinic as an adjunctive therapy with tacrolimus for transplant immunosuppression.
- being developed as a monotherapy to reduce serum lipids and glucose. Efficacy in animals has been shown.
