Limerick BioPharma is dedicated to developing compounds that, when used adjunctively with both marketed and investigational drugs, significantly improve the quality of patients’ lives. Our compounds minimize toxic side effects at non-targeted vulnerable organs and tissue while maintaining or enhancing a drug’s desired effects. In the monotherapy setting, we are developing novel compounds that target the treatment of metabolic diseases such as hypercholesteremia and hyperglycemia.

Through its efficient discovery and development strategy, Limerick has created a pipeline of proprietary and clinic ready Cellular Transport Pump Activators (CTPA's) . These CTPA’s differentially target cellular transport pumps in specific tissues and organs. When used adjunctively with specific drug ligands, our CTPA's demonstrate improved tissue distribution.

Limerick’s proprietary CTPA’s target a broad range of therapeutic drug classes including immunosuppressants, opioids, immunomodulators, selective estrogens receptor modulators, and psychotropics. In our monotherapy studies, our CTPA’s are targeted for use in hypercholesteremia and diabetes via a novel mechanism related to reverse cholesterol transport.
